Zion National Park General Information.
Zion National Park is located in southern Utah, approximately 3 hours from Las Vegas. This park is unlike any other place in the world, with scenery ranging from high mountains to low desert. This was Utah's FIRST National Park, and you really have to walk, or hike, among the towering cliffs and narrow canyon walls to truly experience it.
Admission to the park is $25 for a private vehicle, and it is good for 7 days (Included in your Self Drive Zion National Park Package). Other fees available on website, including FREE days in 2011! Admission on foot is $12 per person.
One GREAT service at this park is the FREE Shuttle System. You can park your car in Springdale, just outside Zion, or inside Zion, and utilize this shuttle that makes frequent stops all day long.
Another GREAT feature of this park: The Zion Newspaper you get FREE when you enter the park. This newspaper contains up to date information about road closures, programs in the park, maps, guides and more. Truly one of the best National Park Guides we have seen so far!

Details for your Zion National Park Self Drive Adventure
You will receive vouchers for your package via email prior to your trip. If you don't have access to email, the vouchers will be waiting for you at the Hertz Rental Counter.
Your first stop will be at Herzt Rental Counter at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Please make sure you meet all the requirements from Hertz before reserving this tour.
Next you will drive to Zion National Park, about a 3 hour drive from Las Vegas.
Depending on the time of your scheduled activities, you may visit Zion National Park before and/or after your activities. Your Zion Entrance Pass is good for 7 days, and may not be transferred or sold. You MUST present the Pass and a Photo ID at the Zion Fee Station in order to gain entrance to the Park.
When you turn in your pass at the Fee Station, you will be provided with maps and information about the park, including where to park and how to use their awesome Zion Shuttle.
Your confirmation will include details about where and when to meet your guide for your scheduled activities. Please follow those instructions so that you don't miss your scheduled time for your activity.
Please meet your guide at the location in your confirmation, usually the Sunmart Gas Station just off Hwy 9 after you exit Interstate 15. If a different location is on your confirmation, please follow those instructions. The Sunmart Gas Station/Arbys is located at 2 North Coral Canyon Boulevard, Hurricane, UT, just off I-15 Exit #16.
When you want to see the amazing backcountry areas of Zion, this is a great option.
This 4x4 tour will show you the lowest deserts and the highest peaks. Extremely photogenic, with a wide variety of amazing landscapes and textures.
Starting off in the Kanab/Mt. Carmel area of East Zion, we head directly past the beautiful Elkheart Cliffs. As we cross over one of Zion's sandy mesa's, we soon make a turn onto a sandy road passing through dunes of sagebrush and cedars before entering a graveled wash. Following this wash for a couple miles we end at a perfectly sculpted slot canyon slowly carved over millions of years! We will take a short hike up this canyon learning about the areas geology and what makes Zion unique.
