This Las Vegas Grand Canyon Self Drive Tour is simply the BEST way to experience Grand Canyon West AND Grand Canyon Whitewater Rafting, on YOUR time.

Your day starts off with a pickup at most Las Vegas Strip Hotels, where you will be taken to the Hertz Rental Counter at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Here you will be met with a representative who will give you all the information you need to make this day a success: Informational Packet, USB Flash Drive to plug into the included Hertz Neverlost GPS System, bottle of water for each person, and some light snacks. If you have kids, be sure to include them in your reservation so they receive some activities to keep them entertained on the drive.

Your first stop will be Grand Canyon West where you will park your vehicle and board the Hop On-Hop Off shuttle to take you the viewing sights. Guano Point, Eagle Point (home of the Skywalk!), and the Hualapai Ranch.

Spend the morning and early afternoon exploring Grand Canyon West, even upgrade to the Skywalk! You will get two meal tickest for each person, so choose your favorite lunch spot.

When reserving, you need to choose your options for transportation to the Lodge:

            Option 1:
             Around 4:30-5:30 pm you can board the shuttle to Peach Springs, Arizona, where you will spend the night at the Hualapai Lodge on Historic Route 66. You will leave your car at Grand Canyon West. Pack a small bag for your overnight at the Lodge, the bag will go with you on the raft the next day. It is important not to pack too much, as you need to fit it all in the dry bag.

Highlights for Option 1:

You MUST indicate on your reservation form that you will require the shuttle.

You MUST check in at the desk when you arrive at Grand Canyon West to find out what time the shuttle will depart

You must be at the Shuttle Location as instructed by Grand Canyon Employee. This shuttle IS not just for you, it is the shuttle for ALL rafters coming off the river and will NOT delay departure if you are late.

You will leave your rental vehicle at Grand Canyon West

You can take ONE SMALL Bag per person, because it needs to fit in the dry bag on the rafting trip the next day.

You will spend the night at the Hualapai Lodge

The next day, you will take your whitewater rafting trip, and end at Grand Canyon West, where you left your vehicle.

You will depart from Grand Canyon West to Las Vegas in your rental vehicle.

Option 2:
Drive yourself to the Hualapai Lodge in Peach Springs, after your day at Grand Canyon West. We HIGHLY recommend this option, as it gives you more time to enjoy the Grand Canyon, and you don't have to cut short your day to hop on the shuttle. Choosing this option, you will be on Historic Route 66 and can take in some awesome scenery on the way back.

When making your choice, please keep in mind that we have NO control over the shuttle transportation once you are at the Grand Canyon, which is why we recommend option 2.

Highlights for Option 2:

You must indicate on your reservation that you will NOT require transportation to the Hualapa Lodge..

You are free to spend as much time as you wish at Grand Canyon West, staying until closing if you choose.

You will depart Grand Canyon West when you are done exploring, and drive yourselves in your rental vehicle to the Hualapai Lodge. (map included in package)

You will spend the night at the Hualapai Lodge, and your vehicle will be WITH you so you don't need to worry about forgetting anything

The next day, you will take your whitewater rafting trip, and end at Grand Canyon West.

You will then board the shuttle at Grand Canyon West, that will take you back to the Hualapai Lodge where your rental vehicle is waiting.

RAFTING:
Begin early in the morning with a ride to Diamond Creek. On next segment of your journey The Indians take you through Grand Canyon wilderness by shuttle bus to Diamond Creek where your 8-passenger raft and Hualapia Indian guide stand ready to take you through the seventh wonder of the world. Once on the Colorado, hold on as you raft for 40 miles over a series of white water rapids ranging from class 3 to 6, on a scale of 1 to 10. Be ready. You will get wet! Guaranteed! A brief stop at Travertine Canyon gives you an opportunity to hike into this secret side canyon and enjoy a piece of nature only accessible by river. After a delicious lunch, your raft winds its way down the canyon over smooth water to Grand Canyon West. You then board a helicopter for a breath-taking climb 4000 feet up to the Rim of the Grand Canyon above.!

You must be 21 or older to drive the rental vehicle

If you are under 25, there is an additional fee of $27.99

If you plan to have more than one Authorized Driver, there is an additional fee of $10.67 per driver. Additional Driver's must have Valid Driver's License.

Person renting the vehicle must have Valid Driver's License AND a Credit Card (in DRIVER'S NAME) for the vehicle deposit. A hold of $200 will be put on the credit card. NO CASH DEPOSITS.

Infant-Toddler-Booster Seats available for an additional fee of $13. Please choose type when making reservation to guarantee the correct child seat is available for your tour package.

Rooms at the Hualapai Lodge have 2 Double Beds.

Please indicate on reservation HOW MANY rooms you need.

Rates are based on Double Occupancy. If you want a single in a room, there will be an additional charge of $90 per single room.

Please note that the two meal tickets included in this package can ONLY be used at Grand Canyon West, NOT at the Hualapai Lodge. There is a free continental breakfast at the Hualapai Lodge, but no other meals are included at the Lodge in this package.
